2026 MEDICARE CHANGES

Important Changes

We anticipate several changes, including changes in prescription drug coverage and costs.  With those upcoming changes, your plan may have adverse changes.  In the upcoming month, Brokers will learn of the new changes, and I strongly encourage you to contact us to schedule a phone call (or in office appointment)  as early as October 1st to review changes to your plan and plan options.

 WHAT YOU CAN DO:

To best support you, we will need your most up-to-date information. Please email an updated list of the following so we may begin reviewing plan options as soon as the 2026 AEP window opens:

Updated prescriptions– Each year, I am required to secure your updated prescription list, including dosages and times per day taken.  If you are part of a pharmaceutical coverage program to receive costly medications, please note that as well.  ** Please note that providing your medication list is optional, but doing so allows me to conduct a complete analysis of plans that cover your prescriptions to potentially save you money.

  • If you have no changes, please reply to the email with NO CHANGES, and I will save this to your profile

  • Confirm Primary Care Doctor and specialists that you currently see

  • Note any additional health care needs you may know of for 2026. Things such as upcoming surgeries or procedures, dental needs or hearing aid or other needs you would like to share.

Please email this to Lori@MedicareWithLori.com so we may update your information and send a new Scope of Appointment prior to our review.  Once we have this information, we will begin comparing the updated 2026 Medicare plans, formularies, drug costs, and changes to your plan so we can schedule a review/comparison.  Once you have emailed, please call or text to confirm receipt, as I want to ensure that your information was received to avoid any healthcare or financial surprises for you in 2026.

This is the time of year when we see a very high volume of Medicare scam call center fraud. Inevitably, I have several clients who call me each year who have inadvertently had their plans altered by such scams.  I encourage you to review special presentation on keeping yourself safe from Medicare scams so you may safeguard your Original Medicare ID and be aware of these tactics.  Always remember that you will receive mail at your home for any official Federal Medicare information, not a phone call.  Have a great weekend, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thank you for the opportunity to be your trusted Medicare resource for 2026. I’m grateful to have you as my client, to provide Medicare support, and to conduct upcoming plan reviews.  If you have friends or family who do not have a Broker who advocates for them, please share my contact information; I’m happy to review their plan and let them know of any upcoming 2026 plan changes as well.
